Bush: 'A Final Test' for Iraq

WASHINGTON – President Bush expressed satisfaction Friday with the U.N. Security Council's unanimous vote demanding Iraqi disarmament and compliance with previous international mandates. He urged the international body not to weaken in its resolve.

Bush indicated that peace or war was now solely in the hands of Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, who, Bush said, would use any unraveling of resolve among Security Council members to avoid compliance.

"The resolution approved today presents the Iraqi regime with a test, a final test. Iraq must now, without delay or negotiations, fully disarm, welcome full inspections and fundamentally change the approach it has taken for more than a decade," Bush said in remarks delivered in the White House Rose Garden moments after the vote.

It makes us look really, really bad when, in a given situation, our government is lying more than Iraq's previous government.

The thing that gets me is that this alone, combined with all the other evidence clearly were grounds for impeachment. Couple this with Bush's speech from January 31, 2003:

and it is clear that he lied to Congress and the American people.

What are the Dems waiting for? Oh yeah, they are waiting to find their balls.

Oh, no, calls for impeachment are obviously partisan insanity. It frustrates me to see seemingly intelligent people say, "No, I see no reason to impeach him."
